Cheney School
Arriving in the shortlisted Top 20 out of hundreds of applicants was a great honour in this highly competitive design competition to create a much-needed school in Cheney, a region of the Czech Republic. The opportunity to contribute to the development of such an important community project was deeply meaningful, especially considering the growing need for educational facilities in the area.
Our design was commended not only for its originality but also for its thoughtful approach to balancing aesthetics with functionality. The concept focused on creating an inspiring and dynamic learning environment that would foster creativity, collaboration, and well-being. We took great care in ensuring that the building was not only visually striking but also practical and efficient, with classrooms and communal spaces designed to be flexible and adaptable to various educational activities.
The overall form of the building was carefully crafted to integrate seamlessly into its surroundings, with a design that respected both the natural landscape and the local architectural context. We incorporated sustainable materials and innovative techniques to create a space that was energy-efficient and future-proof. The recognition we received for this project was a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, and we are immensely proud of having been part of a competition that aims to improve education infrastructure in Cheney.
