A Method of Living
Flat A is an architectural and interior design project led by director of Open Volume Studio, Olivier Jauniaux. The project focuses on shaping natural materials like marble, wood and straw into smooth, expressive lines, detailing the everyday features of this Notting Hill-based apartment.
The ceiling is layered with detailed lighting and stepped heights to separate zones, whilst keeping the open plan traversable. Visual intrigue is expressed through varying textures and patterns found in nature, particularily through the use of Arte’s hand woven wallpaper made of paper thread and banana leaf. Natural and bespoke elements were vital when linking the project to the Method club below, which focuses on tailored wellness therapies for the recovery of mind and body.
