This guide is a summary of many years working as an architect and interior designer with many families undergoing big life changes. All of their lives are absolutely fantastic, varied and sometimes rather surprising and in helping them through their projects I began learning substantially from them. This time we are talking pets!
 
Hopefully this guide will provide value to anyone trying to figure out how their beloved furry friends will cope with a renovation. Pets are very important parts of our families. Like young children they have simple needs and issues. However; they are often forgotten during a build project and then looked after as an afterthought. This guide aims to put a stop to this!
 
This guide is a series of tips that draw from my own experience with a cat during a renovation as well as extensive research and discussions with pet owning clients. Not only is each pet type going to have very different requirements, but each pet has a unique personality so though I will try to cover as many aspects as possible, what I am asking for most of all is that you give pet friendly design the value it deserves.
