The brief for this project had been deemed impossible. The limited head height in a shared freehold loft of this top floor loft flat in Crystal Palace meant that meeting the brief of reconfiguring the flat to add a second bedroom was always going to be challenging. By playing with ceiling heights, stairs and light, we managed to add a light, quiet and, to everyone's surprise, spacious bedroom boasting views over south London in the tiny loft.
