How do you extend a white building? Our clients home is a 1970s end of terrace rendered white. Various extensions have already happened in the local area but few have tried to engage with the existing character of the building, cladding the dormers in tiles. Here we consider what a change in colour would do a loft level, creating a sense of the the main building intersecting through the roof whilst also potentially celebrating London weather making a dormer that would blend and disappear against the grey skies.
