Cedarville

When reconfiguring and re-planning the space of this 1930s mid terrace house we asked ourselves how much was actually necessary to extend. Most projects include super-size extensions seeking to maximise surface area and value but often consist of excess and wasted space. Here we found ourselves with clients who value the pleasure of a nice garden whilst having a badly planned existing house. Proposing a subtle rear extension creating a carefully curated rhythm of openings, along with a loft extension with terrace the design is mostly about reconfiguring the layout to celebrate the garden and the client’s relationship to the outdoors.
